Bank Customers’ Complaints Skyrocket

The Better Business Bureau recently released its rankings for consumer complaints over the past year.  It seems that banks have not only failed in terms of causing the financial crisis, but they have also failed to keep their customers happy.

Consumer complaints are perhaps the best measurement for determining abusive practices.  With bounched check fees that can add up to hundreds of dollars, its no wonder there have been so many complaints.  In the past year, as bounced check fees reached record highs, consumer complaints for banks rose by 42.3% – by far the most of any industry in America.

And how about payday loans? Surely they must have received more complaints than the banks.

Not a chance. Payday loans didn’t even make the list. Customers are happy – why aren’t politicians?
